Ultrabland was invited to pitch for the refresh of National Geographic Channel and I was brought in to take the lead in the design direction and animation. We were awarded the project and were tasked to create this new design system that would be implemented in every region around the world.
Our approach was to be bold, simple and adaptable by only using 3 parameters:
1. The brandmark is our logo
2. Center all graphics
3. Freedom to explore.
This allows flexibility across formats with ease, more efficient design and messaging. Clear and concise. And encourages the user to find creative solutions and inspire the viewers to explore Nat Geo’s content.
